Terms & Conditions
The Pet Loss Wayfinder
1. Nature of Services
1.1 Australian Clients: For clients physically located in Australia, services are provided by Grant Hazell, a qualified Counsellor. These services may be clinical in nature.
1.2 International (US/Non-AU) Clients: For clients located outside of Australia (including the United States), all services are provided as Grief Coaching and Peer Support under the brand The Pet Loss Wayfinder.
1.3 No Medical Treatment: You acknowledge that The Pet Loss Wayfinder does not provide medical advice, psychiatric diagnosis, or treatment for clinical mental disorders (such as Clinical Depression or PTSD) to international clients. Coaching is not a substitute for the care of a locally licensed mental health professional.

2. Eligibility and Crisis
2.1 Suitability: Coaching is for individuals seeking support for the natural grieving process. It is not suitable for those in an acute mental health crisis.
2.2 Crisis Protocol: If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, you must immediately contact your local emergency services (e.g., 000 in Australia or 911 in the US). The Pet Loss Wayfinder is not an emergency service and cannot provide 24/7 crisis intervention.

3. Jurisdiction and Governing Law
3.1 Choice of Law: These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Western Australia.
3.2 Forum: You irrevocably agree that the courts of Western Australia shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of these services. This applies regardless of your physical location at the time of the service.

4. Professional Boundaries & Scope
4.1 Title: For international clients, Grant Hazell acts as a "Grief Guide/Coach." While Australian clinical qualifications are held, they do not imply licensure in the client’s local US state or territory.
4.2 Referrals: If it becomes apparent that a client requires clinical treatment beyond the scope of coaching, The Pet Loss Wayfinder reserves the right to terminate the coaching relationship and provide resources for finding a local licensed therapist.

5. Confidentiality and Privacy
5.1 Privacy Policy: We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988. For US clients, while we aim for high security, we do not guarantee strict HIPAA compliance as we are an Australian entity.
